Eng. Khalid bin Abdullah bin Saidan is a Saudi real estate executive and civil engineer who serves as Executive Director of Bin Saedan Real Estate Services. He is also a board member of Abdullah Mohammed Bin Saedan & Sons Real Estate Company and Prime Estates.
Born on 3 January 1990, Khalid represents a new generation of the Bin Saidan family, whose involvement in Saudi Arabia’s real estate sector extends across several decades. His career has developed within the Kingdom’s property industry, spanning real estate services, project management and corporate operations.
For Khalid, continuing a family business is as much about adapting it for the future as preserving its history.
“For me, the objective is not simply to preserve what previous generations built. It is to build on that foundation and make sure we continue to evolve with the Saudi market and aborad.”
From engineering to real estate leadership
Khalid holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Leeds Beckett University in the United Kingdom, completed in 2018, and a master’s degree in international business management with Project Management from Kingston University London, completed in 2020.
He credits the combination of engineering and business education with shaping his approach to real estate. Khalid says: “Civil engineering taught me to assess how decisions affect cost, quality and delivery, while my postgraduate studies provided a broader commercial and organisational perspective.”
“A project has to make technical sense, but ultimately it also has to make business sense,” he added.
Khalid’s professional experience developed through different roles within the family’s businesses. He gained experience at Abdullah Mohammed Bin Saedan & Sons Real Estate Company and later worked in project management at Affordable House Company before moving into senior leadership at Bin Saedan Real Estate Services.
As Executive Director of Bin Saedan Real Estate Services, Khalid’s work encompasses areas including real estate marketing, brokerage, property management and auctions. He sees these increasingly specialised services as part of a wider shift taking place across Saudi Arabia’s property industry.
Khalid believes today’s buyers and investors have access to considerably more information and consequently expect greater transparency and professionalism. He views this as a positive development that is encouraging companies across the sector to raise their standards.

A changing Saudi real estate market
Khalid’s approach to the sector is also influenced by changing customer expectations. He argues that buyers increasingly evaluate properties not only on location but also on accessibility, services, community, quality and the broader ownership experience. Investors, meanwhile, are becoming more sophisticated in assessing factors such as rental potential, operating costs, demand, liquidity and regulatory conditions.
Within Bin Saedan Real Estate Services, his priorities include strengthening capabilities in specialised real estate services, developing people, improving efficiency and applying technology where it adds practical value.

His approach to expansion is deliberately broader than scale alone. “For me, growth should not simply mean becoming bigger. It should mean becoming better at what we do and creating greater value for our clients and partners.”
Khalid also serves on the boards of Abdullah Mohammed Bin Saedan & Sons Real Estate Company and Prime Estates, extending his involvement across different areas of Saudi real estate.
Looking ahead, Khalid describes his own role in the family’s history in generational terms. He wants to combine the experience accumulated by previous generations with stronger professional practices, specialised services, governance and continued adaptation.
“A legacy should not only be about how long a family has been in business. What matters is whether each generation continues to create value and leaves the business stronger for the generation that follows.” Khalid concluded.
