RAKBANK Celebrates Groundbreaking Crypto Brokerage Service Launch, in partnership with Bitpanda, at the Museum of the Future

RAKBANK hosted a landmark event at the Museum of the Future to celebrate the official launch of its crypto brokerage as a service, in partnership with Bitpanda. The event brought together over 250 guests, including clients, crypto community leaders, media, and influencers.

The evening spotlighted RAKBANK’s new crypto offering, which enables customers to seamlessly buy, sell, and swap cryptocurrencies via Bitpanda’s regulated infrastructure. All transactions are conducted in AED, eliminating foreign exchange cost and transfer fees. Customers can trade directly from their RAKBANK current or savings account, without the need for complex transfers to external crypto exchanges.

RAKBANK today announced the expansion of its crypto offering in partnership with Bitpanda, with customers now able to trade 16 cryptocurrencies, doubling the number available at launch. This expansion reinforces the Bank’s vision of continuous growth in regulated digital asset services, delivering greater choice and accessibility for customers navigating the evolving world of crypto, while ensuring innovation is underpinned by a robust framework of security and compliance.

The evening featured speeches from RAKBANK Group CEO Raheel Ahmed and Bitpanda Co-Founder and Co-CEO Eric Demuth. This was followed by a high-impact panel discussion moderated by RAKBANK’s Group Chief Customer Officer, DJ Choi. The panel included leaders from Bitpanda, BlackRock, and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), who discussed the global evolution of digital assets and explored the outlook for the UAE market.
