Dubai is witnessing a significant increase in occupancy in 2023 with more visitors coming to Dubai for both leisure and business. The emirate has always been a spotlight destination globally with progressive developments placing it in an enviable position to steer travel and hospitality demands in 2023.

“Hospitality and Tourism sector is on a rebound and is getting back on track robustly. Having welcomed over 14 million tourists in 2022, it is expected to witness more than a 50% increase in international visitors this year”, Moussa El Hayek, Chief Operating Officer of Al Bustan Centre & Residence, said.

He added that the hospitality sector is observing notable trends alongside digitalization, especially sustainability which is now the emerging trend topping the priority of concern at hotel properties. He explained that businesses are encouraged to reduce the environmental footprint as travellers are more educated nowadays and redefining their travel options with those which align with their values.

He added that the hospitality sector is expected to adopt proactive approaches and go the extra mile when it comes to diverse ways of promoting green initiatives as aligned with government programs.

Moussa El Hayek explained that as part of the industry strategies to cope with the change in guests’ preferences, more value needs to be given to personalized hospitality services to provide tailored experiences satisfying the personal needs of the guests. He highlighted that Al Bustan Centre & Residence continues to offer customized experiences to the visitors which contributes to building customer loyalty and this has consolidated Al Bustan Centre & Residence as a preferred destination for Dubai visitors and resulted in a 30% increase in occupancy in Q1 compared to the same period last year.
