Circle of Harmony: Live the Transition Spotlight I
Timeless Sofa & Block sofa and Patio coffee table
In our next few articles we are going to be doing a deep dive into the new Natuzzi collection Circle of Harmony: Live the Transition – a collection inspired by the world adapting to new norms and based on Mediterranean culture, colors, feel and ambiance.
This article will focus on Timeless Sofa by Lorenza Bozzoli and the Block Sofa collection by Sabine Marcelis.
TIMELESS sofa by Lorenza Bozzoli
Articulating her work through a vast series of collaborations with big brands such as Alessi, Moooi, Dedon, , Dilmos, Edition, Mingardo, Pomellato, Slamp, Slide, Tato Italia, Colè and now Natuzzi, Lorenza Bozzoli has blazed a trail all her own in the world of contemporary design.
Born in Milan, Bozzoli attended the Academy of Brera, and moved to New York to kick-off her career in the fashion field with her first self-produced lines. Upon returning to Milan she soon started working with Elio Fiorucci and companies like Basile, Camper, Sergio Rossi, Plein Sud.
In 2018 she founded her brand Lorenza Bozzoli Couture that produces contemporary high end furnishing accessories.
Timeless by Lorenza Bozzoli is a modular sofa which, with its rounded and elegantly asymmetrical design, seems to open like a flower with an elegant, light effect. It is an image of freedom and rebirth that the designer manages to capture and fix, almost stopping the passing of time.
Welcoming and inviting, featuring soft, deep seats, Timeless enhances the visual comfort and the idea of slow Mediterranean living – linked to the beauty of nature and the pleasure of contemplation – which have always been unmistakable elements of Natuzzi Italia style.
Block Sofa Collection by Sabine Marcelis
Sabine Marcelis is a Dutch designer who brings an aesthetic standpoint to her work. Believing her designs to be true sensorial experiences and not simple static works, such that the experience becomes the function, with a refined and unique aesthetic, her work is characterized by pure forms which highlight material properties. This method of working allows her to intervene in the manufacturing process, using material research and experimentation to achieve new and surprising visual effects for projects.
Block Sofa & Patio coffee table” is Marcelis’ first collaboration project with Natuzzi and caters to the multifunctional pillar of the Live the Transition collection. The sofa itself is a juxtaposition of the lush and inviting comfort of the material and the rigid lines of the wooden block under it, which is in fact made of bamboo but blended to look like one block – hence the name. The sofa comes equipped with wheels, and is such is adaptable to the changes and confines of life as we entered a new age of “staying indoors.”
The patio coffee table, with its pure geometries, is characterised by an essential and refined aesthetic. Its lightness is emphasised by the bronzed glass with which the structure is made and the unique wheels that define the base: a versatile complement indeed.
