MG Saudi achieves Exceptional Sales Figures during the year 2021
- MG Sales exceeds 24,000 units in 2021, with an increase of 54% over the year 2020.
Continuous expansionary strategic plans to open more showrooms and integrated service centers

MG Saudi continues to record the highest rates of sales growth, concluding the year 2021 with total sales of 24,132 units, which is an impressive achievement for the MG brand, especially as this is happening under tough market conditions due to the spread of the global pandemic.
This remarkable achievement would not have been possible without the tireless series of efforts exerted by Taajeer Group, the exclusive distributor of MG cars in Saudi Arabia. The achievements included the implementation of massive expansion plans, enabling the Group to own a total of 10 showrooms and 13 integrated service centers in the Kingdom that have been opened by the end of 2021, in addition to the conclusion of many alliances and strategic partnerships with major sales and after-sales service companies, such as APSCO, AutoZone and Budget Saudi, thus raising the standards of customer satisfaction to the highest levels. These achievements culminated in MG Saudi receiving a number of prestigious awards, such as “MG ZS” the Best Female Car of the Year award in Saudi Arabia, the Best Mid-Size SUV of the Year Award won by the “MG RX8” model, and the Best Marketing Manager Award in the Automotive Sector for the year 2021 awarded to the General Manager of Marketing and Public Relations of Taajeer Group, in addition to the special award granted to the Group by SAIC Motor Company, the owner of MG brand in the world, for being the top sales agent and best corporate sales agent for the year 2021.
Contributing to these successes were two new products launched by MG Saudi in 2021, the brand’s flagship 7-seater, the MG RX8 Black Edition, with an exclusive 13 Black features; and the all-new 2022 MG GT sedan. Customers have shown their appreciation of the British-born brand’s new products, with units being prebooked and sold out upon delivery.
Commenting on the growth of the brand’s sales, Eng. Hazm Jamjoom, CEO of the Automotive Sector at Taajeer Group, said: “MG is witnessing continuous growth in the Middle East in general and in the Kingdom in particular, which is confirmed by the sales figures that were recorded in 2021. The indicators of performance of MG Saudi in this year seem to be very promising, as we have the best support from our partners at SAIC Motor, the parent company of the British-born MG brand, who are diligently working to develop and enhance their regional business growth strategy”.

In the face of market adjustments and the industrial transformation, and in keeping with its promise to deliver innovation and practicality in all its cars, MG is set to introduce new compact SUVs with 5G and intelligent connectivity features, these will include the launch of the MG HS hybrid model and the official launch of the MG ZS electric car, in addition to the launch of the automatic category of the MG T60 pickup model, along with the launch of a new service for our customers, which is “MG Mobile Service” in order to carry out all maintenance requirements for the customers where they are located, both for quick and periodic maintenance, all within integrated marketing plans, in line with this development, keeping pace with the aspirations of different segments of customers.
