Empowering the Future: GROHE’s GIVE Program Launches in Saudi Arabia, the First in the GCC

Riyadh, 25 September 2023 – The GROHE brand, part of LIXIL, a global leader in complete bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings, has announced the launch of the GROHE Installer Vocational Training and Education (GIVE) Program in collaboration with the Engineering Science Institute for Training (ESI) in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This also marks the launch of GROHE’s first GIVE Program in the Kingdom.

Installers and plumbers play a vital role in helping make homes and infrastructure more sustainable and future oriented. However, the sanitary industry has been struggling to attract young talent to the sector. GROHE is working to develop an agenda for the future that positions them at the cutting edge of environmental and sustainability issues; including areas such as water conservation, digitalization, and developing more sustainable sanitary infrastructure.

GROHE developed the GIVE Program to address the shortage of skilled professionals in the sanitation sector and offer young people a strong foundation for a successful start to their careers. Currently, the GIVE Program collaborates with over 68 training schools in the EMENA (Europe, Middle East and North Africa) region to offer a state-of-the-art framework for training. More than 3,000 students aged between 18 and 25 in Morocco, Pakistan, Nigeria, Ghana, and European markets benefit from the GIVE Program.

The GIVE Program training sessions are led by experienced technical trainers. Students get to practise in a live working environment, and at the end of the training, they receive an internationally recognised certificate.

On completion of the GIVE Program, students will receive a recognized international certificate and assistance with job placements or even a work experience program at one of GROHE’s industry partners. The GIVE Program aims to reach up to 5,000 students per year through training and career assistance initiatives and it allows thousands of students across EMENA to build a solid foundation for their careers.

The GROHE brand, by choosing to open its first GIVE Program in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia positions itself as an alternative option for young people outside the classic education system who strive for a promising career and a bright future. This initiative also aligns with the first pillar of LIXIL’s sustainability strategy – Global Sanitation & Hygiene – which aims to improve the livelihood of 100 million people through sanitation and hygiene initiatives by 2025.
