– The European Union announces today its participation in the International Conference & Exhibition for Education (ICEE 2022), a global platform, organised by the Saudi Ministry of Education at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. Aiming to foster a learning environment and boost international cooperation in education, the high-profile event will take place in Riyadh on 8-11 May 2022.
The European Union, as a global centre of education excellence and a world-class study abroad destination, will have its own ‘Study in Europe’ booth, and is gearing up to welcome prospective students and their families, academics and other local, regional and international education partners. They will have the opportunity to engage not only with EU stakeholders, but also with Saudi and GCC alumni, who will share their own personal experience of studying and living in Europe. The EU will be joined by Austria, Belgium, Germany, Finland and Sweden, which boast some of the world’s finest universities. There will also be other European Union Member States such as France present with dedicated booths.
A dedicated ‘Study in Europe’ workshop will take place on Wednesday, 11 May 2022 from 4-5PM at the venue. Opened by the EU Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, H.E. Patrick Simonnet, it will serve as a platform for a more personalized exchange with those wishing to explore study and research opportunities across the European Union, comprised of 27 Member States. Erasmus+ is a great instrument to foster closer academic cooperation between the European Union and the Gulf region.
The European Union has designated 2022 as the European Year of Youth, an opportunity to significantly contribute to a better future for young people, so there is no better time to encourage study abroad and academic exchange programs that would empower the new generation of leaders.
