EXPLORA JOURNEYS’ HEAD OF CULINARY, FRANCK GARANGER, AWARDED KNIGHT OF THE ORDER OF AGRICULTURAL MERIT

June 2025 – Explora Journeys, the luxury lifestyle ocean travel brand of the MSC Group, proudly announces that Frank Garanger, Head of Culinary, has been appointed Chevalier (Knight) of the Ordre du Mérite Agricole (Order of Agricultural Merit) by the French Ministry of Agriculture and Food Sovereignty.
This distinguished national honour recognises individuals for their exceptional contributions to agriculture and the promotion of French culinary excellence. With decades of experience as a master chef, Franck Garanger has consistently championed the values of craftsmanship, sustainability, and innovation. His dedication to sourcing and celebrating the finest ingredients has left a lasting mark on the culinary world—both on land and at sea.

The official award ceremony took place on 5 June 2025 in Avrillé, France. The medal was presented by renowned entrepreneur and Legion of Honour recipient, Michel Galloyer, alongside Mr. Haligon, First Deputy Mayor of Avrillé. Also in attendance were celebrated French master chef Jean-François Piers and Jacques Thorel, esteemed chef of the two Michelin-starred restaurant in Brittany.
